List of Potentially Harmful Plants for Koi and Goldfish
The following list of plants often grown on Cape Cod and the Islands are known to be stressful or fatal to Koi and Goldfish.
Note: this list doesn’t include all plants that are commonly grown in all regions. If you don’t live in the Cape Cod area, check with your local experts. Most bulbs are toxic to fish so don’t put bulbs such as daffodils, amaryllis etc where they come in contact with your pond water. Also, many seeds can be problematic even if the plants aren’t. Don’t feed random pits or seeds to your fish.
